The "Campaign for Cancer Services in Sligo"
is made up of a group of people from all over the Northwest
who are determined to retain and improve the excellent cancer services already available in
Sligo General hospital.

Now, due to a decision made by an unnamed bureaucrat
for unknown reasons, the HSE under Mary Harney
and backed by the FIANNA FAIL government have decided
to close
Sligo's and the northwest's Cancer Services.
